Washcloth Spring Bunnies

These washcloth Spring bunnies are fun and easy to make. They hold plastic or boiled Easter eggs very well, make great Spring decorations or even a comfort for small children (see TIPS AND VARIATIONS).

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Washcloth – Large Baby Washcloth Works Best
Rubber Band
Two Small Black Pom Poms or Plastic Movable Eyes
One Small Pink Pom Pom
One Medium White Pom Pom
Small Amount Of Thin Ribbon Or Yarn

DIRECTIONS:
1. Lay the washcloth on a table.

2. Roll one corner, diagonally, into the middle.

3. Roll the opposite corner in the same way, so that both rolls meet in the middle.

4. Fold the rolled washcloth in half (make a U).

5. Hold the two sides together and fold the two ends backwards, over the top.

6. Fasten a rubber band around the front area to form the head.

7. Fluff out the two ends to make bunny ears.

8. Glue the white pompom to the back, to make the bunny’s tail.

9. Glue two small black pompoms in place as eyes.

10. Glue a small pink pompom below the eyes as the nose.

11. Fasten thin ribbon around the bunny’s neck and tie it in a small bow.

TIPS AND VARIATIONS:
* Glue a small silk flower behind one ear for a girl bunny.
* Glue a small silk flower in the middle of the bow or on top of the head between the ears.
* Slip an Easter egg into the open circle at the back of the bunny, behind the ears, for hiding around the house or decorating.
* You can use these bunnies as Boo Boo Bunnies – just nestle an ice cube inside the circle instead of an Easter egg, and hold against those little bumps and bruises to ease pain and swelling.
