Easy Plastic Bag Holder Craft

Like most everyone in America, I have those plastic grocery bags cluttering part of my house. Here is a way you can have a decorative place to hide them. This project is easy but does require simple sewing machine skills.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Fabric (approx.1/2 yard)
Sewing Machine
Thread
2 pieces of Elastic ( approx. 6 inches in length)
Safety pin (optional)

* The two pieces of elastic need to measure approx. 6 inches long and no bigger that 1/8 inch thick.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut two strips of the fabric, approx. 2 1/2 inches wide.

* These strips are going to make ties for the holder to hang.

2. Sew the two ends of the fabric together, making a circular tube.

* Leave an opening at the top, big enough for a door knob.

3. Hem each end of the tube.

* Allow enough space for elastic and leave an opening on both ends to thread elastic through.

4. Once the ends are done, thread your elastic through.

* Pin a safety pin to one end of the elastic helps to thread it through the tube.

5. Stitch the ends of the elastic together.

* This can be hung an any door knob.
