Easy No-Bake Craft Clay

Have you ever started a project and run out of craft clay? This quick and easy no-bake craft clay is perfect for any project.  No more last minute run to the store. With a few items kept on hand, you can have craft clay anytime.

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup of Cornstarch
1 ¼ Cups of Cold Water
2 Cups of Baking Soda
Food Coloring (Optional)
Paint (Optional)

Step 1

In a sauce pan, combine all of your ingredients.

Step 2

Stir over medium heat for about 4 minutes.Mixture will be like moist mashed potatoes.

Step 3

Stir in a few drops of food coloring if desired.

Step 4

Remove from heat and turn onto a plate. Cover with a moist towel. Let cool completely.

Step 5

Once clay is cool, kneed like dough. Store in an air tight container.

Step 6

When you are ready to use, pinch off the amount you need and mold into the shape you desire.

Step 7

Let your shaped clay dry. Paint if desires. Let dry completely before touching.

TIP:

* You may want to flatten one side of your shaped clay before drying (before painting). This will make it possible to make your clay piece into a broach or refrigerator magnet.
